Fortunately I was able to find an alternative for $25 after a manufacturer rebate. I would have expected them to have this information considering the number of people in the area who are on Medicare.

The Doctor quickly identified the problem with my foot and called in a prescription. However, this scrip was not covered by Medicare and would have cost me $135. I contracted the staff and they promised to call me back with an alternative that afternoon.
My primary care physician recommended Dr. Runkel to treat a severe nucleated callus I've had for years due to issues complicated by childhood polio, which affected my gait, and being a dancer. For nearly a year she has treated it aggressively and successfully, coordinating my care with Demon, who ordered some additional testing, physical therapy, and fitted me for orthotics.
I was very pleased with my visit and I plan to return for my next scheduled visit in April 2015.
This was my first visit to the Atlantic Foot & Ankle Specialists. My visit was very good, very professional and everyone was very courteous.
I returned again in July 2015 and the Professionalism was exactly the same. In addition, some silvers of glass were embedded under my left big toe from a car accident which they detected and removed and healing is now complete. Great service.
Staff is extremely unprofessional, Dr. late for 1 appointment, rescheduled another, and my last I showed up to a note taped to their door apologizing for cancelling the days appointments. No one called so I drove 45 minutes on my sore diabetic foot only to drive back home. No one followed up.
I was disappointed with their follow-up.
They failed to call me that day or the next. I called them in the afternoon and no one remembered that they promised to call be back. I explained the problem again to them and they were not very helpful In identifying an alternative. They gave me a sample they was suppose to contain the main ingredient bust was only a moisturizer.
The staff was very courteous & professional. Dr. Runkel was wonderful. She gave me treatment options that I have never been presented before. I am glad that there is an answer for me, rather than just living with the pain. Thank you so much.
They are professional, caring and friendly, and very responsive to patients.
